I agree on the first point — it's entirely cultural. I just think it is very hard to change cultural norms. It absolutely can be done (see: MSFT over the last 10 years), but it's hard (see: Apple's continued inability to ship software). I think OpenAI is *trying* to become more of a product company, and they certainly can learn fast. But I'm not convinced they'll pull it off yet.
