Sao Mai Center was established in 2001, a non-profit - NGO organization for the blind in Vietnam. We have different programs to empower the visually impaired people in education, employment and independent living. Some of main activities include: trainings on technology, soft/social skills, music and foreign languages; support service to live more independent; developing software such as talking editors, Braille translation, typing tutor, Vietnamese/Burmese text to speech engines; online library of accessible books with different formats such as audio, DAISY, Epub, Braille; providing solutions and assistive products; vocational training and job placement for visually impaired people.
