How do you delete a sim on The Sims 2? - Answers

I know 2 ways, there are most likely more but I only know of 2 ways.WAY 1:Kill them. You can accomplish this many ways, I will give you 2. The first way to kill a Sim in Sims 2 is to build a pool, and after the Sim gets in, take all ladders out. They will keep swimming in the pool and eventually, their hunger and energy will reach rock bottom and the Sim will have a blood red plumbob above their head and then the grim reaper will come and take care of the rest. Another way to kill a pregnant female Sim is to wait until their hunger is really low, it won't necessarily be rock bottom (because they are pregnant and their needs decay quicker and die quicker), but then they will drop to the floor and the grim reaper will come and take care of the rest. WARNING: If you kill a Sim, all of the Sim's relationships will receive a negative memory of that Sim dying.WAY 2:Another way to delete a Sim is to literally delete them. Select the "Find own Place" interaction from the pie menu on either the computer or newspaper and then select which Sims will be moving out (only move out the ones you want to delete). Then, next the Sim(s) will appear in the family bin in the main neighborhood. Click on the Sim(s) you want to delete, then click the garbage can in the lower right hand corner of the screen. If the garbage can is not there, go to www.thesims2.com and look for a patch.WARNING: Due to an oversight in the way EA coded this, deleting Sims through the bin shreds their character files, eventually leading to a corruption in your game. Early signs of this include Sims trying to talk about a deleted Sim but only displaying a jagged line instead of a thumbnail image of that Sim's head and the appearance of "$ subject" in memories. This is NOT an advisable method of removing Sims from your game.WAY 3:You can open up a cheat box(Ctrl-Shift-C) and type in moveobjects on and then go to buy mode the click on them then click delete. This only temporarily removes Sims from your lot: when you next reload it, that Sim will reappear.WAY 4:You can open up a cheat box(Ctrl-Shift-C) and type in 'boolprop testingcheatsenabled true' and then enter the lot the sim is located. After hold down shift while clicking on chharacter annd force an error and delete. it works better on objects.
