Thank you Ellie. Some good stuff here. BUT… The face value of the evidence is that there has been a massive increase in autism case incidence. Not just diagnoses. If anyone is suggesting that investigators shouid not investigate because they suspect that the increase might not be real, that begs the obvious question: Where is the evidence that changed criteria and awareness etc. actually caused the measured increase? Association is, of course, not causation. That applies here as well as everywhere else. Speculation about these alternative explanations is rampant in the literature. But valid evidence is nowhere to be found.
