Cities Below Future Seas, by Cobby & Porky

Cities Below Future Seas by Cobby & Porky, released 02 December 2016 1. We'd Like To Capture Your Mind 2. Porkbag 3. Ho'oponopono 4. Sirens At Dusk 5. Stropharia Cubensis 6. Dresden 7. Black Pudding Steve Cobby & Porky released 3 albums as The Cutler between 2007 and 2013 and were on the way to completing a fourth when Steve cut loose from their label Steel Tiger and decided to go solo in all pursuits with his own imprint Déclassé. Porky approached Steve last year with a shortlist of unreleased material they’d done together and wondered if there was life in them. Cobby set to work completing the unfinished tunes and refining those almost complete. These 7 tunes are the fruits of those labours. Project names have been cast aside in favour of surnames for all of Cobbys collaborations post 2013, but in essence this is still The Cutler. "Insanely beautiful . From organic majestic deep late night classy groove in a São Paulo Loft on Es , to proto electronic murky deepness, to ruff heavy sonic wonky futurism , to an almost Bob James exotic out of the box alchemy into dark bass bugging rudeness and hooligan baseline. Hand on heart I’m fucking blown away . I had to wake up and relisten fearing my sometimes premature evangelism would be short lived . On the contrary .It sounds better and potentially one of the greatest albums I’ve heard in a very long time" Luke Unabomber "Loving Porkbag bro!!" - Nightmares On Wax "Thank you for the beautiful release - love that dr.cobby mood" - Richard Dorfmeister "Been playing 'Capture' out for a bit" - Mr Scruff "Genius stuff" - Ashley Beedle
