The way I approach sales conversations is like I’m a researcher, rather than trying to immediately sell something. As part of my research, I’m genuinely trying to uncover whether I can help them, and this starts with understanding where they’re struggling or encountering challenges. I think if you approach sales from a place of genuinely wanting to help people (as you mentioned) rather than selling something they may or may not need, it really changes the overall tone.
