The Youth Littering Disgrace

Listen to this episode from The People's Countryside Environmental Debate Podcast on Spotify. RECORDED VIA LANDLINE PHONE   Join hosts Stuart and William on another roaming and nomadic, insightful conversation, offering up a very real, unscripted discussion, as they explore a listener question, from Philip in Harrogate, England. "After the third lockdown in Britain was eased in late March 2021, parks were seen packed with those in their teens and early twenties, and then leaving loads of litter behind. Some say it's just young people enjoying themselves, and the council's fault for not supplying enough waste bins. In my opinion, it's easier to take home rubbish though, as it's lighter than when it was actually carried there, because all the produce has been consumed. If the next generation is truly more environmentally aware, why are they inflicting this disgrace on the rest of society? Maybe the council shouldn't tidy our rubbish away so efficiently in the future, so when these people return, as they will, they will see and feel the impact of their brain dead thoughtlessness?" Do you have a question you'd like Stuart and William to explore, delve into or debate? Send us an email [email protected] with your name, where you're listening from, and your question."
