Since 2018, we have established a pod in Zurich (https://500womenscientistszurich.org) focusing on gender and minority-related issues on a local scale. Despite the advances and efforts in gender equality, women scientists still face career obstacles and are dramatically underrepresented in higher positions in academia, research institutions, and industry.
