‏📍 في القاهرة، عقدت #الإسكوا بالشراكة مع وزارة الاستثمار والتجارة ورشة عمل لإطلاق النسخة التجريبية من واجهة منصة محاكاة السياسات التجارية والصدمات الاقتصادية العالمية، التي تم تطويرها خصيصًا لتتناسب مع السياق المصري. وتوفّر هذه الأداة منصة قوية لواضعي السياسات والخبراء التجاريين لقياس الآثار الاقتصادية الكلية للتدابير التجارية المقترحة والصدمات الخارجية، بما في ذلك التغيرات الاقتصادية العالمية والحروب التجارية. خلال الورشة، تلقّى مسؤولو الوزارة تدريبًا عمليًا، وأجروا محاكاة تجريبية، وناقشوا فرص التعاون المستقبلي والتحسينات الممكنة لضمان دعم الأداة لوضع سياسات تجارية في مصر قائمة على الأدلة. كما تم إيلاء اهتمام خاص بتدريب الفريق على تقييم آثار الحرب التجارية الجديدة على الاقتصاد المصري.📊 📍 In #Cairo, #ESCWA, in collaboration with Egypt’s Ministry of Investment and Trade, held a specialized workshop on the beta version of the Global Economy‑Wide Trade Simulator interface developed specifically for Egypt. This powerful tool equips policymakers and trade experts with the ability to quantify the economy-wide impacts of proposed trade measures and external shocks, such as global economic shifts and trade wars. During the workshop, ministry officials engaged in hands-on training, ran trial simulations, and discussed future collaboration and refinements to ensure the simulator fully supports evidence‑based trade policymaking in Egypt, with a special focus on assessing the implication of the new trade war on Egyptian economy.📊‏
